Our approach
Better writing begins before the first sentence
English improves when students learn to form a defensible idea, choose evidence with purpose and shape a response around the question. Our tutors make that thinking visible. They model the decisions strong writers make, then give precise feedback students can use in the next draft.
Academy One’s English team includes experienced classroom leaders, HSC marking insight and high-achieving recent graduates. Students receive teaching appropriate to their course, text and stage—not a generic essay template.

Which English courses do you teach?
We support Years 7–10 English and Stage 6 Standard, Advanced, EAL/D, Extension 1 and Extension 2, subject to tutor availability.
Will tutors edit a student’s essay?
Tutors give detailed feedback, but the goal is not to rewrite work for the student. We teach students how to diagnose and improve their own writing.
Can you help with a specific school text?
Usually. Share the course, module, prescribed text and assessment date when enquiring so we can match the right tutor.
